Facebook employees have listened to Messenger calls
It has emerged that hundreds of Facebook workers were paid to go through voice recordings and transcribe them. The company said that the behaviour had been halted "more than a week ago".
The workers were given the recording but they were not told how the conversations were obtained.
Amazon has decided to donate unsold products
Amazon has unveiled a new plan for the UK and the US where they will donate unwanted products from third-party sellers instead of them being sent to the bin.
The plan will see thousands of unwanted products from third-party vendors go to nonprofits. In the UK, the list includes Barnardo’s and the Salvation Army.
Tumblr being sold to Automattic
Verizon have made a deal to sell Tumblr to Automattic for an undisclosed amount, report-ably around the $3 million mark.
Verizon became the owners of Tumblr when they bought Yahoo two years ago. Yahoo bought Tumblr in 2013 for around $1.1 billion more than Automattic are paying for you.
Automattic are the owners of the popular web publishing platform WordPress.
